I feel you, brother. I have modern internet fatigue as well. I turned off all my notifications years ago, but, I'm thinking if I should start following your lead and start deleting attention-hungry apps because even if I don't get notifications, I still check my phone frequently during the day. I think we, as humans, can be better than being small-screen slaves.

So true man. We let ourselves become a slave to the screens. I’m slowly taking back some of that time and it feels nice. I will say that substack is nice with its online workablility and not being forced into an app on the phone. I haven’t been spending much time here either but I do still enjoy it more than the other places.

I think more and more of us feels that way. Maybe even majority. I can relate, because I am there too...

I agree. I hear about it often. It's a challenge to try to get past it but it's definitely not impossible. Hope you have some success fighting it.

It is difficult. There are periods when it is better and than periods when I am too connected. So fight is good expression….

I am on board with this fully George. My very first post on Substack, which remains the ONLY social media platform that I subscribe to, was about this very subject.

That’s wise, Paul. Some of us, like myself, need to close the doors on all of those other places. It isn’t perfect here, but it is a much nicer space to be in. I don’t spend nearly as much time here as I did since I also removed this app from my phone, but I do enjoy hopping on the computer and checking in or posting a bit once or twice every day or two.
